Faith 'n Fiction Saturday March 14, 2009

Today's Question:

Have you ever read a book and been completely surprised by it? Was it either better than you were expecting, moving in ways you didn't expect, more captivating than you thought, or totally different from what you thought it would be about?
My Answer:
I read a lot of books so sometimes I have a hard time remembering things like this. Recently I read A Thousand Tomorrows by Karen Kingsbury and it was more moving than I expected. It is going on my 2009 favorites list. It was published in 2005 I think. :)

I forgot about Karen Kingsbury's latest! That one surpised me, because I typically don't enjoy her books.

I read that book a few years ago. My girls and I, along with the rest of the families at the barn, loved this book! Check out the next book in the series, "Just Beyond the Clouds". The characters in the last book actually make an appearance in Karen's latest book, "This Side of Heaven".

I read it too, and I thought that it was good. However, I have a hard time with her sentence fragments. Happy Faith ‘n Fiction Day. Here’s my answer:

I'm reading The Book of Lost Things, and it's totally different than what I expected! I have no idea how it'll turn out, everything's so convoluted. I'll let you know though, when I review it later this month. The book that you wrote of in this post is new to me, so I can't make a lucid comment about it unfortunately. ;)
