Fall Into Reading 2008 Wrap-Up Post

I cannot believe it but Fall is Almost Over and it is the end of the Fall Into Reading 2008 Challenge already. I love this challenge. I did it last year and hopefully will do it again next year.
Now some questions from Katrina at Callpidder Days(our hostess)
Did you finish reading all the books on your fall reading list? If not, why not?
Yes and No. I read all the books listed below but my acual list changed over the course of the challenge. Some books I never received and I added quite a few of them.
Did you stick to your original goals or did you change your list as you went along?
See above answer.
What was your favorite book that you read this fall? Least favorite? Why
I cannot pick just one favorite and least favorite so here are a few of them.
I did not like Godly Love at all. I also did not enjoy the Number 1 Ladies Dective Agency first book.
My favorites include Before the Season Ends by Linore Rose Burkard which is an inspirational Regency fiction novel that I loved, Fall of Candy Corn and Winter of Candy Cane by Debbie Viguie, Single Sashimi by Camy Tang, and both books by Nicole Baart. Nicole is a new favorite author for me. I cannot wait for her next book. My favorite of the nonfiction books is Multiple Blessings by Jon and Kate Gosselin and Beth Carson.
Did you learn something new because of the Fall Into Reading challenge?—something about reading, or yourself, or a topic you read about?
I learned that I am growing as a reader. I am reading many genre's now that I have not previously been accustomed to reading. I am reading more of a variety including mysteries, suspense, classics, historicals, etc. I am reading more nonfiction books than ever. I read too fast without reviewing everything I read which I hope to work on for the new year.
What was your favorite thing about the Fall Into Reading challenge?
I loved finding new blogs to read and seeing other people's lists and reviews.

I had a hard time with Number 1 Ladies Dective Agency too when I made an attempt on it a year or so ago. It was such a big hit that I was rather disappointed that I DIDN"T like it! Oh well.

Great list of accomplishments you have here! Congratulations!

Excellent job! You read some great books. I read too fast as well and am working on reviewing more next year too!

Wow, what a list!

Edith Blyton is (or was) a British author. I think she wrote in the 50's & 60's. She has an extensive list of works, for all ages. Some of her books show up in the U.S., but she isn't very popular making it hard for me to find her books here.

Great job, Brittanie! You read lots of books and it sounds like you enjoyed many of them. I also liked reading your thoughts on how you feel you're growing as a reader. Thanks again for being part of FIR '08!
