What's On Your Nightstand Tuesday May 26, 2009

I have a lot of reading deadlines coming up really soon that I need to finish books for and the stack of books that I want to read with no deadlines is getting bigger and bigger too. I understand the phrase so many books so little time better and better. Sometimes I wish I had taken a speed reading class but I want to enjoy the books I read. It only takes my aunt 45 minutes to an hour to read one of the Love Inspired books which takes me two hours. Everybody is different. :)

Quite a stack of books there!! I wish you well in getting through them.

I don't think I'd want to speed-read either, except in parts. I like to savor books along the way.

WOW! I've thought about reading those City of the Dead books, so I hope you post a review next month (or a link to it).

I'm so glad I'm not the only person who's drowning in their TBR pile... :)

found your blog last night, I love it!
we sound fairly similar.... I have pretty much that same amount on my night stand. Even some of the same books :)
Good luck on the deadlines :)

That's quite the stack of books!

I read Jane Eyre in high school and really enjoyed it, but now I prefer Wuthering Heights. Tuck Everlasting is on my list for this year too!

Good luck to you!

You've got your month all laid out here - no chores - all reading - I think that sounds great!

You do have a might mountain on your nightstand. :)

I am interested in the Lessman books. I have heard they are good.

What a good point.. slow down and enjoy the details. I am a slow reader and get frustrated at times at how long it takes to read something.. but you are right I will get so much more out of it by reading it at my own pace. Have fun reading this month
