My Review:

I thought this was a good Christian historical novel. There were no war scenes so no gory stuff in it. It was not preachy but had a theme of trusting God. I liked Valerie and Benjamin's love story. A sweet civil war historical that held my attention from page one. I can't wait to see what book two in the series holds. Highly recommended for fans of Christian historical fiction. :)




ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Andrea Kuhn Boeshaar has been writing stories and poems since she was a little girl and has published articles and devotionals as well as 31 novels and novellas. In addition to her writing, Andrea is a certified Christian life coach and speaks at writers’ conferences and for women’s groups. She has taught workshops at such conferences as: Write-To-Publish; American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW); Oregon Christian Writers Conference; Mount Hermon Writers Conference and many local writers conferences. Another of Andrea’s accomplishments is co-founder of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) organization. For many years she served on both its Advisory Board and as its CEO.

My Review:

I thought this was a cute western historical romance book. It is second in the series but it stands alone fine. The romance between Cade and Zoe seems believable. I liked the way the small community came together to help Cade and Zoe. I did not agree with all the events that happened at the end morally. Overall a good book and recommended to fans of this genre.

My Review:

This is the book that I received to read and review. I though the book was well written and easy to read and apply. I was already familiar with many of the suggestions but a some were new to me. I look forward to applying this to my life.
