Snowbound Colorado Christmas by Tamela Hancock Murray, Lena Nelson Dooley, Susan Page Davis, Darlene Franklin (AND GIVEAWAY)

***Leave a comment for a chance to win a copy. Deadline is Friday September 12 at midnight.***
These stories appear in the Snowbound Colorado Christmas collection:

Fires of Love by Tamela Hancock Murray
Thalia Bloom looks forward to her party except for seeing heartbreaker Maximilian Newbolt. Sparks fly, and Maximilian is waylaid by an allergy to a strawberry tart and illness means he must linger. Aunt Dorcas is even unhappier than Maximilian, discouraging any newfound love between the couple. Has God used a strawberry tart to free this couple from bondage of fears and insecurities so they can find true happiness in love?

The Best Medicine by Lena Nelson Dooley
When Thomas Stanton shows up at the holiday party of Rose Fletcher’s best friend, his appearance reminds Rose of the infatuation she felt for him when he worked on her father’s ranch. Although her heart wants to continue those long ago feelings, her mind reminds her that he doesn’t share her faith in God. Thomas can’t understand why Rose seems so standoffish. Will it take God’s intervention to show these two people just what He has planned all along?

Almost Home by Susan Page Davis
Patricia Logan leaves Thalia’s party and heads for home at her uncle’s ranch. Her ride is sidelined by the blizzard. A chance meeting with Jared Booker, an old friend, prompts Patricia to beg for a lift. They set out on horseback and become snowbound in a shack for two days with a crotchety midwife and their past. Can they rekindle their old camaraderie and see it transform into lasting love?

Dressed in Scarlet by Darlene Franklin
Natalie Daire, a rich young heiress, has a car accident on the way home from a friend’s holiday party and finds herself snowed in with the other guests at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver. Fabrizio Ricci, the mechanic who fixes her car, is also snowbound at the hotel. Can these two people from opposite ends of the social spectrum find true love?

An Interview with the authors:
What is the name of your novella, and where in the collection does it occur?

Susan: My story, Almost Home, is third in the collection. My heroine, Patricia, leaves the party with Darlene’s heroine, Natalie, who leaves her at the train station.

What other books have you had published?

Darlene: Two books are currently in print: a contemporary romance, Romanian Rhapsody (Barbour Publishing, 2005) and a cozy mystery, Gunfight at Grace Gulch, also with Barbour. Later this year Barbour will release the second book in my cozy mystery series, A String of Murders. And so far next year I have two books scheduled for publication: the third mystery in the Dressed for Death series, Paint Me a Puzzle; and a historical romance, Beacon of Love.

When you aren’t writing or spending time with your family, what is your favorite activity?

Tamela: One of my favorite activities is listening to music while I clean the house. I especially enjoy Southern gospel. The harmonies sound incredible, and the message is always wonderful!

What part of the country do you live it? And why do you like that part of the country?

Lena: I moved to Texas from Arkansas when I was in college. After I graduated, I married a Texan, so I’m still here. It’s actually 105 degrees here at 6 pm on a Sunday. Days like today, I might like to live near a beach, or on an island, or in Alaska. But when it is winter, I’m glad that we don’t have a lot of snow and icy roads. Living in the suburb of a large metropolitan area is the best of both worlds. My neighborhood has a small town feel, but we’re close to lots of things—museums, art galleries, eating places, libraries, parks, amusement parks, etc.
