My Review:

Vendetta starts a new series featuring Nikki Boyd. She is an agent for the TN Missing Person Taskforce. Nikki is out hiking with her deceased best friends' husband, Tyler,  when she gets a call to help with a  missing teenager. He tags along with her to help. Investigating this disappearance brings back a lot of bad memories of her sister disappearing ten years ago. Nikki is determined to do whatever it takes to get this girl back. It is a wild ride with a few twists and turns.  It held my attention from the beginning and I could not wait to find out what happened next. It had mystery, suspense, and a little romance. It was not explicit or too gritty. The faith element was not developed enough though. I hope to see more in the next book in the series. Recommended to fans of the Christian romantic suspense/mystery genre.

My Review:

I enjoyed reading this last book in the Southern Crimes series by Lisa Harris. I definitely recommend reading this series in order as the mystery develops through all of them. The characters and plot were interesting and well developed. It held my attention from the beginning and I could not wait to find out what happened next. My only issue was with the romance between Michael and Olivia, the daughter of the drug cartel leader. I felt like it was a little unbelievable and things developed really fast between them. The ending also worked out a little too easy and perfect but still satisfying wrapping up the loose ends. Overall this was a good Christian romantic suspense book.

My Review:

I thought this was an okay romantic suspense book. It is book two in the Southern Crimes series and the characters are the same. A piece of the plot is followed through the series which is the death of Michael Hunt. The characters and plot are interesting but could use a little more developing. There is a third book coming out that I am interested to read because we find out what really happened to Michael, Emily's brother. I recommend reading the series in order.

My Review:

I thought this was an okay Christian romantic suspense book. It did not have enough development in the characters or plot. I did not feel involved. It did not feel like a first book in a series but like a second. When the book begins it felt like I was supposed to already know what's going on. Even when Jackson came into the picture it felt like we were missing some details.  It had a lot of potential as far as characters and plot. The faith element was ok. I want to read the next book in the series to see if it gets better. This is my favorite genre. Not recommended unless you want an okay read.
