  • Publisher: Revell (January 2, 2018)
  • Language: English
  • ISBN-10: 0800727215

Police officer Isabelle St. John loves her crazy, loud, law-enforcement family. With three brothers and two sisters, she's never without someone to hang out with--or fight with. And she knows they'll be there for her when things get tough. Like when her partner is murdered and she barely escapes with her own life.

Determined to discover exactly what happened, Izzy's investigation sends her headfirst into a criminal organization, possibly with cops on the payroll--including someone from her own family. With her dead partner's handsome homicide detective brother Ryan shadowing her every move, Izzy's head is spinning. How can she secure justice for her partner when doing so could mean sending someone she loves to prison? And how will she guard her heart when the man she's had a secret crush on for years won't leave her side?

With her signature fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat action, Lynette Eason invites readers into a captivating new series where justice is a family affair.

My Review:

Oath of Honor is the first book in the Blue Justice series by Lynette Eason. It is Christian fiction with mystery, suspense, and a little romance. The main character in this book is Isabelle St. John. She is a police officer in Columbia, SC.  Her mother is the police chief and most of her five siblings work in law enforcement too. This book reminded me of the show Blue Bloods. I do not want to give away any major plot details so all I will say is that this book involves the mafia, gang warfare, and possible bad cops. The romance part is between Izzy and Ryan, her dead brother's partner. I would have liked to see more development with that. The book is full of suspense and I did not figure out the who done it until the end. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Recommended.

Chasing Secrets by Lynette Eason (Review)

  • Series: Elite Guardians (Book 4)
  • Paperback: 336 pages
  • Publisher: Revell (August 1, 2017)
  • Language: English
  • ISBN-10: 0800723910
  • ISBN-13: 978-0800723910
  • Product Dimensions: 5.5 x 0.8 x 8.5 inches

  • Elite Guardians bodyguard Haley Callaghan may be in South Carolina, but when a photo leads investigators in West Ireland to open a twenty-five-year-old cold case, her life is suddenly in danger. Haley knows how to take care of herself; after all, she's made a career out of taking care of others. But after an uncomfortably close call, Detective Steven Rothwell takes it upon himself to stay with her--and the young client she has taken under her wing. A protector at heart, he's not about to let Haley fight this battle alone.

In a sweeping plot that takes them into long-buried memories--and the depths of the heart--Haley and Steven will have to solve the mystery of Haley's past while dodging bullets, bombs, and bad guys who just won't quit.

    My Review:

This is the fourth book in the Elite Guardians series and my favorite. It can stand alone from the previous books in the series.  I fell in love with Haley and Steven. She is a tough woman but needs a little back up sometimes. Steven is a great cop who has come home to help take care of his sick father. The main plot revolves around Haley and what from her past is causing her issues now. There is a secondary plot involving a family she takes under her wing. Steven has an issue from his past he is dealing with too involving the death of his brother. There is mystery, suspense, and action with a faith message that is not overpowering. The characters and plot are interesting, unique, and well developed. Recommended.

Without Warning by Lynette Eason (Review)

  • Series: Elite Guardians (Book 2)
  • Paperback: 352 pages
  • Publisher: Revell (August 2, 2016)
  • Language: English
  • ISBN-10: 0800723252
  • ISBN-13: 978-0800723255

  • From the Back Cover

    Intensity. Skill. Tenacity.
The bodyguards of Elite Guardians Agency have it all.

Katie Singleton, a partner with the Elite Guardians Protection Agency, stumbles upon her next assignment quite by accident. Spotting blue lights at a familiar restaurant, she stops to investigate, only to discover that owner Daniel Matthews has become the target of someone who will go to any lengths to put him out of business.

Daniel might be concerned, but he's not convinced that a bodyguard--and a female one at that--is necessary. A new attack and his niece's urgings are enough to make him reconsider. He and Katie must figure out who's behind the intimidation and threats--before a would-be killer strikes again.

    My Review:

This is book two in the Elite Guardians series. The plot is separate so it can stand alone. Some of the characters do repeat along with new ones. It is a Christian romantic mystery suspense book. The main focus in this book is Katie and Daniel. Katie is a professional bodyguard. Daniel is ex military restaurant owner. This is not my favorite Lynette Eason book. I did not really connect with the characters. The plot had a few too many incidents in it for me. I guessed the bad guy early. I did not really enjoy reading it. I think part of what bothered me is the whole female bodyguard thing. It did not work with him being so capable of defending himself. I will still read the next book in the series. I want to see what happens with the other characters.

No Place to Hide by Lynette Eason (Review)

    • Series: Hidden Identity (Book 3)
    • Paperback: 336 pages
    • Publisher: Revell (May 5, 2015)
    • ISBN-13: 978-0800722104

She'll defend her friend until the bitter end--but is she in over her head?
It's not every day you see your childhood friend and onetime crush on national news. Jackie Sellers just wishes it were under different circumstances. She can't believe that Ian Lockwood is wanted in connection with a terrorist plot, and she's determined to find him and help him clear his name. Unfortunately, she's not the only one looking for him. The FBI wants him captured. The bad guys want him dead. Ian just wants to stay alive long enough to prove his innocence and prevent a catastrophe.

Lynette Eason delivers nonstop action as Jackie and Ian travel a dangerous road--one that may lead straight to destruction.

    My Review:

I enjoyed reading the latest book in the Hidden Identity series by Lynette Eason. Although it is book three in the series it can stand alone. This is a Christian suspense/mystery book with a little romance thrown in. Although a little violent in parts it is not too graphic. The mystery kept me guessing and the suspense kept me reading. I liked how the relationship developed between Jackie and Ian. The faith element was not developed enough especially with Jackie's character. I would have liked to see more depth with it. The characters and overall plot were well developed and interesting. I was intrigued and my attention was held from the beginning. This is one of my favorite authors and her books are like my all time favorite author Dee Henderson. Recommended to fans of the genre.

    Deceived by Irene Hannon (Review)

    • Series: Private Justice (Book 3)
    • Paperback: 416 pages
    • Publisher: Revell (October 7, 2014)
    • ISBN-13: 978-0800721251

A grieving mother. A mysterious child. And a dedicated PI who's determined to solve the puzzle.
For three years, Kate Marshall has been mourning the loss of her husband and four-year-old son in a boating accident. But when she spots a familiar-looking child on a mall escalator, she's convinced it's her son. With police skeptical of her story, she turns to private investigator Connor Sullivan for help. As the former Secret Service agent digs into the case, the boating "accident" begins to look increasingly suspicious. But if Kate's son is alive, someone is intent on keeping him hidden--and may go to lethal lengths to protect a sinister secret.

     My Review:

I enjoyed reading this Christian suspense/mystery book. It is book three in the Private Justice series but can stand alone. It also  had a touch of romance in it between Kate and Connor.  The bad guy did not seem really bad though. Greg Sanders and his son Todd just moved to St. Louis. He is a widower and seems like a very devoted dad. But his son Todd is very similar to Kate's dead son. Kate goes to Connor and asks him to investigate after seeing them together at the mall. The plot and characters were well written and interesting. It held my attention from start to finish. This is one of my favorite authors in this genre. Recommended.

Nowhere to Turn by Lynette Eason (Review)

    • Series: Hidden Identity (Book 2)
    • Paperback: 320 pages
    • Publisher: Revell (September 2, 2014)
    • Language: English
    • ISBN-10: 0800722094
    • ISBN-13: 978-0800722098

The day Danielle Harding takes her 11-year-old son, Simon, and flees from her abusive husband, is the same day Kurt Harding dies. A relieved Dani believes she and her son are finally safe--but in reality, the danger has just begun. When Kurt was alive, he took something important to a mysterious person. That person wants the item back and believes Dani now has it. As she and her son run for their lives, they have nowhere to turn, until she hires Adam Buchanan of Operation Refuge and goes into hiding. Unfortunately, she won't be able to hide for long . . .

From the first breathless scene, this tension-laced story will hold readers in its iron grip. Bestselling author Lynette Eason propels readers along at a breakneck pace in a race to discover the truth and a better future.

     My Review:

This is book two in the Hidden Identity series. It can stand alone although Summer and her husband make an appearance from book one. I did not like this one as much. It started off good but got repetitive on the action toward the middle. They kept going to a safe house and then being found many times. And I never bonded with the main characters, Danielle and Adam. I did like Simon, Dani's son who is deaf because of his father's abuse. The relationship between Danielle and Adam was not super sparky. There was a twist in the plot I did not see coming that surprised me. The other part of the mystery was easy to solve. So overall a decent Christian romantic suspense book. Not my favorite Lynette Eason but I am still looking forward to the next book in the series.

No One to Trust by Lynette Eason (Review)

  • Series: Hidden Identity (Book 1)

  • Paperback: 336 pages

  • Publisher: Revell (January 7, 2014)

  • ISBN-13: 978-0800722081

  • She doesn't know who she's running from--and the man she loves may be someone else entirelySummer Abernathy wakes up one morning to find her husband missing, three men in her home intent on finding him, and the life she's been living based on a lie. Which Kyle Abernathy did she marry? The computer programmer she met in line at the bank? Or the one who was apparently using that image as a cover?

The search for her husband--and answers--takes Summer ever deeper into a world of organized crime where people are used one moment and discarded the next. And with her deepest relationship of trust already shattered, Summer doesn't know who to believe.

Always thrilling, bestselling author Lynette Eason outdoes herself in this taut, breakneck story of lies, loyalties, and love that will have you up all night to discover the truth hidden in the shadows.

    My Review:

I thought this was an okay start to a new series. I thought the plot and characters were interesting and had potential. I felt like parts were repetitious and overall not suspenseful. I had a hard time connecting with some of the characters. Summer's sister annoyed me but that might have been the point also. Also the relationship between David and Summer bothered me a little. He was too perfect and she was a little off. The author's previous works kept me more engaged.  I am looking forward to the next book in the series. This is one of my favorite Christian romantic suspense authors. I have read most of her works.

Get ready for the spine-tingling, nail-biting conclusion to this explosive series.

    My Review:

I enjoyed reading this book. It was the conclusion to the Deadly Reunion series. I definitely recommend reading the series in order or you will not understand some of this book. I have been waiting the entire series to hear Jillian's story and find out all the details. And I was surprised in a good way several times! There were several twists and turns I did not see coming. The book was well written and interesting. I kept thinking how many times can she elude the killers? And the romance between Colton and Jillian who were high school sweethearts sparked again. The faith element was there but not overwhelming. It was a satisfying conclusion to the series. I highly recommend it to fans of romantic Christian suspense mystery book. :)

  • From the Back Cover:

But that doesn't make it any easier when she's called to the eerie scene of a murder--especially when Serena realizes that she knows the victim. Nearly as unnerving is the presence of FBI agent Dominic Allen, her childhood crush.

As evidence mounts and points to a serial killer with disturbingly familiar methods, Serena and Dominic must work to find a pattern and stop the killings before the murderer strikes again. And when Serena's own life seems at stake, she must decide if the secret she has been keeping has put her next on the killer's hit list. Can she trust Dominic with the truth before it's too late?
    My Review:

This was a great Christian mystery even though the subject matter was gruesome. This is the second book in the Deadly Reunions series and cannot stand alone. This book references the first book and characters are the same even though the main focus of this book is Serena and Dominic. There is a subplot in both books that will be wrapped up in the third book. I can't wait to see what happens. This book was well written with interesting characters and plot. It held my attention from the first page and was very suspenseful. I love the romance between Serena and Dominic amid the seriousness of the mystery. This author always reminds me of my favorite author Dee Henderson. Recommended. :)

A Killer Among Us by Lynette Eason (Review)

  • Paperback: 345 pages

  • Publisher: Revell (May 1, 2011)

  • ISBN-13: 978-0800733711

  • From the Back Cover:

These new partners have hardly had time to get used to each other when they are thrown into a grisly murder case. As evidence mounts up and more victims are found, Kit and Noah realize they are on the hunt for a serial killer. The problem is, he may be hunting one of them too.

With nail-biting suspense, clever plot twists, and a hint of romance, A Killer Among Us is the latest thriller from Lynette Eason.
    My Review:

This is book three in the Women of Justice series but can stand alone. I have read the whole series and enjoyed it. It was nice to see what happened to previous characters a little in this book.  Christian romantic suspense is my favorite genre. I love Kit and Noah. They make a great couple. Kit was the best character so far to me from the whole series. The characters and plot were interesting. I guessed who the killer was about half way through the book but it did not take anything away for me. Even with the subject matter I enjoyed reading the book and it held my attention from the start. I love how Kit's background and personal struggles and relationships with the other characters were handled. The ending was not a surprise but still fulfilling as far as wrapping up the plot. I highly recommend the whole series and I hope there is another book in it. This is one of my new favorite authors. :)

    My Review:

Wow! This was a great Christian romantic suspense book. I have finally found an author who writes like Dee Henderson, my all time favorite author who quit writing. Anyway this is Lynette Eason's best book so far. It is the second in the Women of Justice series. It can be read separate but I recommend reading both books. I liked learning what happens to the characters from the first book. They play an active role in this book too as they are family. The characters and plot are interesting and unique. The book is well written and flowed excellent. It held my attention from page one and the suspense/mystery was good. My only thing is I guessed who the bad guy was way before the end but I still enjoyed the book and the romance that developed between Jamie and Dakota. Loved both those characters. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. Highly Recommended. :)

Too Close to Home by Lynette Eason (Review)

    From the Back Cover:

The FBI has a secret weapon. But now the secret's out.

When missing teens begin turning up dead in a small Southern town, the FBI sends in Special Agent Samantha Cash to help crack the case. Her methods are invisible, and she never quits until the case is closed.

Homicide detective Connor Wolfe has his hands full. His relationship with his headstrong daughter is in a tailspin, and the string of unsolved murders has the town demanding answers. Connor is running out of ideas--and time.

Samantha joins Connor in a race against the clock to save the next victim. And the killer starts to get personal.

Too Close to Home ratchets up the suspense with each page even as love blossoms in the face of danger. Read this one with the lights on!

    My Review:

I am a huge Dee Henderson fan. She is one of my favorite authors. Lynette Eason writes books that are in the same category, romantic suspense. Although this book had more of a crime thriller part to it, it was well written and I enjoyed it. It is fast paced, suspenseful, and a page turner. The characters are well developed and the romance between Samantha and Conner developed naturally. I read the excerpt for the second book in the series and I look forward to reading it too. Recommended.
