I have two different books I will be reading. I have trouble reading non fiction all the way through so I am alternating it with a fiction book I started earlier this week.
I picked Spark Joy because I read the Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo this year and it was hands down my favorite book of 2015. I cleaned out at least 1/16 of my belongings including around 800 books.

The books look good! Enjoy!
Great idea to alternate between fiction and nonfiction books. I've done the same. Enjoy! Thanks for sharing, and here's my FIRST BOOK OF 2016 POST
I like alternating between nonfiction and fiction too. I definitely find it helps break it up a bit. I wasn't aware Kondo had another book. I read her first book and while I didn't completely click with it I've found - especially as time goes on - that it definitely helped me shift my way of thinking on what needs to be kept and what doesn't. I have a lot less clutter now. The Marta Perry series looks interesting. She's new to me so I need to go find out more about her!
I like to alternate my non-fiction with a fiction book too. These are two great choices. Hope you love them both!

Happy New Year! Good luck with your first reads of 2016. When I have two books going, I always do one nonfiction and a fiction too.
Enjoy your first reads of 2016 -- Happy New Year!
These both look good - Happy New Year!
So glad you are enjoying your books for 2016 first books of the year. I have trouble reading two books at a time. I am a one book girl...I hope you have a Happy Reading 2016 Year.
I hope you enjoy the Kondo book. I have 'Tidying Up' on my shelf and hope it helps me as much as it did you!!
Happy New Year.
Hau'oli Makahiki Hou. Kudos to you on tackling nonfiction. Memoirs are about the only nonfiction I'd read. The Amish genre sounds interesting as it has a bit of crime and romance in it. I wonder how it's different from Christian fiction?
When Secrets Strike looks VERY good.
ENJOY, and Happy New Year!!
Happy Reading in 2016!!

My First Book Of The Year
That cleaning book has changed lives. I bought for my best friend, I really hope it helps in some way for her. Happy New Year
I too only read part of a non-fiction, then have to stick in a fiction before going back to finish the non-fiction. But I love them both tho! Happy reading.
Oh...and 800 books? Was it hard to do?
Great choice! I am wanting to read The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up this year. Enjoy your books!
Check out my first book of the year!
Yes great idea to read NF along with F. Hope you enjoy both books, always great to get into a series you enjoy. Happy New Year.
I have "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up" sitting on my TBR table right now...after all the good things I've read about it, I really should give it a try
Wow, I'm impressed with how much The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up helped you! I hope this one proves to be a fruitful read too.

I need to read Spark Joy for sure! Happy reading!
The Tidying book had a very positive impact on my wardrobe in 2015 too. I hope your new book brings you even more joy :-)
I like the title When Secrets Strike! Happy New Year.
Happy new year Brittanie! I've not come across any of Marta Perry's books before but this sounds like one to get swept up in - enjoy!
I always have at least one fiction read going when I'm reading nonfiction, too. Same here - I take a lot longer getting through the nonfiction, for some reason. Happy New Year!
